Metroid Prime 4 & Metroid: Samus Returns
Conglometroid posted a topic in Forum Updates & Announcements
Pinch Me. No really, go ahead and pinch me, because I must be dreaming. Nintendo released some amazing news today at this years E3 conference that Metroid fans have been clamoring for for years now. Metroid: Samus Returns, a 2.5D re-imagination of Metroid II: Return of Samus was announced for the Nintenod 3DS with a release date of September 15, 2017. In addition to the E3 trailer, Nintendo also revealed 33 minutes of gameplay footage during the Nintendo Treehouse presentation, including input from Yoshio Sakamoto. To top things off Nintendo also released a teaser video of Metroid Prime 4 under development for the Switch. Aside from the announcement for the Nintenod Switch very little additional information is currently available on Metroid Prime 4. It is currently unknown when the game will release or who the developer is at the moment. It will be 10 years this August since the release of Metroid Prime 3. View the full article -

If there is one thing Metroid Prime 2 does well it's scare the living beejeezus out of you. The story behind Echoes was basic enough, its your traditional good vs evil/light vs dark conflict, but why was if effective? I can't speak for others, but whenever I had to travel to Aether's dark side I tried my best to get out of there as soon as possible.

View the full article

My first experiences with Metroid – How I got into the series
Conglometroid posted a topic in Forum Updates & Announcements
For a blog this website has very little in the way of actual opinion so maybe it's about time that changed I got into Metroid when I was still pretty young. My brother was old enough to get into gaming and so for Christmas and birthdays his interest was in that area. Meanwhile I was very much still into legos, toy tractors, and digging holes in the yard. Quite a while after he had moved on from the Game Boy to the super Nintendo I got my hands on it. One of the only games he had for the system happened to be Return of Samus and so I spent my fair share of time completely lost in its world. I mean that literally because when I picked the game up it was still too difficult for me to handle. View the full article. -
The size of the Morph Ball has never been explicitly stated. The original description of the Maru Mari described the item as “small and round like a ball” and no game since has ventured beyond this nebulous claim. In fact, the only frame of reference for Morph Ball size is the 1 meter given by [...] View the full article

Beginnings “Our sanctuary grows by the day. We Chozo know much of technology, but we have chosen to leave it behind on this journey. Our home here on Tallon IV will be a place of simplicity: structures hewn from the stone, bridges woven with branches, hallways caressed by pure waters. Spoilers for the Prime Subseries follow. Metroid is a series that tends to leave the story and details for personal interpretation, but as we found out with the Prime subseries, sometimes this can get out of hand, creating way too many unexplained plot holes and weakening the games. In light of this, I was thinking [...] View the full article
